I'd give them 6 stars if Google would let me. Dan, James and the crew we're wonderful to work with and their finished product was spot on with our original design plus some innovative flair they supplied along the way. We had a completely raw basement in a 5-year old house. Their work included a bathroom, bedroom, family room (specialty sound-proofing), exercise and hobby space, workshop and utilities closet.
Design - we had the basic idea but Dan provided vital advice about what was and wasn't doable as well as making suggestions for consideration. In the end, we got the design we wanted but better thanks to Dan's input. Dan was one of four bidders on the project and won based on his personality, experience, history of completed projects, design input, and price estimate.
Work process - we were provided with a 5-month timeline and that timeline was met. The team was at our door at 8 a.m. like clockwork every day. They cleaned up each evening and we were invited to drop in anytime to ask questions or just observe the work. The team did everything (studs/forms, insulation, duct work, drywall/mudding, doors/windows, floor trenching for plumbing, tiling, resilient channel for soundproofing, painting, etc.). Only subbed out for electrical and core plumbing. Nothing like having one key team from beginning to end. The quality of the work was uniformly excellent.
Up for challenges - we wanted a custom built-in fireplace and wall of built-in bookcases and cupboards. We also had a challenging specification for bathroom tiling. They delivered.
Cost estimating - It's a sign of experience and competence when the finished project is on-budget. There was no "nickel and diming" along the way.
Warranty - There is a 2-year warranty on the work. We've asked them for a few adjustments over the first year and they were quickly on-site to address them.
We feel lucky to have met Dan and James. They are my go to for any future work. I recommend them 1,000%.

Dan, James and team did amazing work for us in a whole house renovation from the studs up. We were trying to modernize a mid-century (1965) two-story detached home, with a more modern and Scandinavian look inside and out - the results were exceptional and we've received many complements about the finished result. Photos are available on their Instagram feed. The quality of their work was exemplary throughout, and they were very attentive to getting the details right. They also completed the project on time and on budget (despite the fact it was a 6-8 month project). Moreover, Dan, James and team have remained very attentive to any questions we've had after the completion of the build. We moved into our wonderful custom built new home at Maclarens Landing a week ago and are so impressed and felt right at home right away. We worked closely with Dan Buckley and his team over the past year, and everything from initial consultation and referral to an architect right through to final touch finessing was a pleasure and very educational! Dan was very respectful of our wishes and choices but gave us great advice and practical suggestions. His entire team is top rate, and the subcontractors he recommended also did great quality work and were professional, accommodating and cheerful. Our location and site considerations were challenging for sure, but we ended up with exactly what we wanted and were impressed by Dan's ability to work around any logistical issue that arose. His expertise in all issues to do with permitting and inspections was invaluable. He is also an excellent business manager, practises good communication and made the financial aspects of the project easy to deal with. The highest recommendation from us! We used ADB to renovate the entire main level of our bungalow.Dan and his Son James came up with all kinds of great ideas to make the home more open and up to date.They kept to the agreed timeline and did not go over budget.The crew arrived on time and often worked after hours to ensure the job was completed right.This renovation went on while we lived in the basement and was fully finished in thirty days! Which is no small task considering they removed several walls,moved windows & doors…
